Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the “Iron Man of India,” was a prominent leader of India’s freedom movement. He was respected for his courage, discipline, strong leadership and commitment to the nation.
After independence, he served as India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. He played a major role in uniting more than 560 princely states and strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
